Flattened rice (poha) roasted with curry leaves, peanuts, mustard seeds and turmeric until each flake is crisp and faintly yellow. Lightly spiced — meant to taste of the ingredients, not a masala.
Eat with chai, top with diced onion and lime juice for a quick chivda chaat, or pack into a school tiffin.
